We took our 1 year old to the southern Caribbean and we are from the midwest so we needed to protect her and this did it wonderfully! I actually cut the skirt off of the pants and used the material to lengthen the arms so that it covered the tops of her hands, and also to lengthen the legs to make them into pants. It works wonderfully and she was completely protected. The fabric is stretchy and super lightweight, unlike the other toddler rompers, which we have one of and the material would have been to hot to wear. This was perfect. We bought 3! I had enough material from the skirts to modify 2/3 outfits. 

I got this suit to protect my toddlers skin who won't sit still for sunscreen to be applied appropriately. It works great and is comfortable and dries quickly. I just wish the waste had a draw string for my tall skinny girl.
