COOLIBAR PRODUCTS EARN CONTINUED
ENDORSMENT FROM SKIN CANCER FOUNDATION
Coolibar earns sixth consecutive Seal of Recommendation
for excellence in sun protection
MINNEAPOLIS (October 20, 2008) -- Coolibar, the nation's leading sun protective clothing manufacturer, announced today the Skin Cancer Foundation endorsed Coolibar's clothing, sun hats, umbrellas, accessories and other sun protection products by awarding them the Foundation's Seal of Recommendation. Coolibar was the first clothing company to receive this honor in 2003 and has been given the Seal of Recommendation for six consecutive years.
Coolibar's entire product line received the Foundation's recommendation after rigorous independent testing affirmed each product's 50+ ultraviolet protection factor rating. This rating guarantees consumers protection from 98 percent of damaging UVA and UVB exposure.
"The Skin Cancer Foundation's continued support speaks strongly about our products and dedication to protecting the health and well-being of our customers," said Coolibar President John Barrow. "This recognition is an honor and further encourages us to continuing producing the best sun protective clothing on the market."
The Seal of Recommendation is awarded to sun protection products proven to aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin. For more information about the Skin Cancer Foundation's Seal of Recommendation, visit www.skincancer.org.
