This hat protects your skin as advertised and the build quality is very good. Be aware though the flap is held on with velcro at the back and at the temples. It is done in such a way that the flap material is between your skin and the velcro. This is good but the flap material becomes the sweat band. The added thickness creates a little extra pressure at the temples. If you have short hair and a smaller head there may be a small gap in the back where the material gathers. Not a serious problem if you are careful when putting the hat on. The most objectionable feature for me is that when biking or walking in a breeze the flimsy flap sails in the breeze so one side or the other will wind up on top of your head negating the purpose of the flap in the first place. Coolibar formerly sold a hat like this which had an integral flap (no velcro or pressure points), heavier flap material (that didn't sail) in the breeze and a nice sweat band. It is so easy to tuck the flap into the current or previous model hat that the velcro isn't a necessity and if you're like me, the flap is never removed from the hat so it can never get lost. There is no "wind string" to keep the hat from blowing off.
