Rated 2 out of 5 by from Could be great, but isn't If I had either four arms or two super long arms, this might be good. The drape in front of the face is next to impossible to fasten onto the snaps in the brim, which manage to be out of reach. Finally gave up. If you look at the photo, you will see that the drape begins right under the eyes. Well, in my case, the drape begins about the middle of the eyes. Clearly hazardous. Also, the drape is full of little pinholes, no doubt for breathing. But the downside of that is the sun can shoot through those little holes just as easily as the air can. Which means as a sun protector, it is less than optimal. This needs to go back to the drawing board to make it fit the way it should. Sorry Coolibar, but must it return it to you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Elastic Cord---a big NO-NO. I, too, have had problems with the flap for the front of the face and just gave up. The biggest drawback to this hat is the elastic cord that you use to keep it on your head. It is very uncomfortable and if you don't use it, the hat keeps falling down and covering my eyes. The brim could use to be a bit stiffer. It really does need to go back to the drawing board. I do love the color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drape Love the hat, and the drape is a great idea--love that it is adjustable. One minor adjustment would make it excellent. The bias at the top of the drape should begin at the side of the drape and not the top which goes across your nose when attached. Where the bias tape is overlapping it creates a bump which is under your eye--not attractive. Start the bias on the side of the drape and this would not be an issue. Thank you, Coolibar. Love your products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saves me from the South TX sun I love this hat! Not the sexiest out there but I have spent the last 2 weeks working in the hot TX sun and have not had any issues with exposure or freckling on my face since wearing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love to ride in convertible, but the suns rays... Bought couple hats to take a long ride to fish in WI. Hat looks a bit weird, but you get over that quick when you are not sunburned on head, ears, of back of neck. I'm a RN and know the effects of overexposure to sun. Hat also is maintains cool temp on head, so easy to wear, head does not "itch" like when wearing most caps. Drawstring prevent hat from blowing away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hat for hikes, beach and gardening! I just got this hat as I needed something to protect my face and the back of my neck from the sun. I tend to get really bad sun spots. I usually have a hard time finding hats that fit and don't fly away when it catches the wind. This hat is great!!! I can tighten it up with the straps under my neck if I don't want it to fly away. It's also very light and easy to pack for my hikes!!! I noticed people were complaining about the flap that buttons on the front of the face but I don't have any issue with it at all. It even has 2 snaps if you want a tighter fit. I also find the flap on the back great for when I'm in the garden or fishing as it protects the back of my neck when I tie my hair up. All in all, must say I would recommend this hat for any of the activities I mentioned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sun Hat! I got this hat as a replacement for my lost Aussie gardening hat (that I used for far more than gardening). Pros: I like the features of this hat including the adjustable elastic sizing cord in the crown (makes sure it won't fly off while boating), the wide brim in front, the vented back, and the soft fabric - including the chin strap, very comfy! Possible cons: I'm a bit nervous about the chin strap being on plastic clips. They do look sturdy and it would make it easier for removing the strap when not needed (with my old hat, I just put it behind my head with the drape and will continue that with this hat so as not to stress the plastic clips). I worry that they might break. I'm not so keen on the tabs used to roll up the back flap as it pulls it into the top of the hat and makes the crown smaller. Overall, I give this hat an excellent rating for comfort and sun blocking. It looks sturdy enough to last for many years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was absolutely surprised I'm very fair and have recently had treatments on my face for potential skin cancer that is still under the skin level. I worked a race out in Death Valley with my hat and long sleeve Coolibar shirt. Air Temp 114 and pavement at 143. I did not burn and stayed as cool as I possibly could. I'm sold completely on the hats and shirts.
