The seams are uneven.
I bought the cap two months ago. I love fit but one of the seams across the top are lumpy and uneven! At first I just thought it was from the packaging but it doesn’t straighten out even when you put it on!!

Not enough volume
The size L/XL hat doesn’t have enough volume to fit over my child’s head, it looks ridiculous.. We have a different Coolibar hat that fits much better, I do not recommend this hat for its poor design. The material of the hat is quality, hence the 2 stars.

weird sizing
I bought it for my son, as he is 6 years old, his head circumference is 21 inches, so I ordered the size S/M 4-8 Y. but it doesn't fit at all. the hat doesn't cover this head enough. the cap is not deep enough and doesn't sit properly. It would helpful to have the measurements of this cap.

Bad Size Description
I bought this for my 5 year old because the description said it fits up until 8 years old. No head measurements or such, just an age factor. IT wouldn't fit a toddler let alone a kid. I also had to pay to have it returned so that was a waste all around.

2021 adult sizing is correct,so ignore old review
My head is 21" around. After reading the reviews I initially ordered a kid's size s/m, as I have a small head for an adult (& actually have a San Diego hat Co. kids' hats that is labeled 5-7yrs. old). But though the measurements for the kid's hat were exactly the right measurement for me, the hat I received was too small. I then ordered the woman's size L/XL (as reviewers said the adult hats ran small) but that size hat was too big. I then ordered the adult S/M hat & it fits with very little adjustment. Let me mention that the adjuster on the hat is a cord, so if the hat needs alot of adjustment, the fabric will bunch alot, fit badly & be uncomfortable. The cord is not the best for comfort as it is. Note: the brim is VERY long,sticking out about 3" 3/4" & is not foldable. The hat itself is "shallow", & does not reach my ears (which are on the small side) Over all this hat is just what I wanted, but apparently Coolibar has read the reviews & fixed whatever sizing problem that existed before.

Not just for kids!
I’m a female adult with a small head. Adult ball caps are always way too large and profile too deep. Ordered this in a size large and it fits perfectly. Even had to tighten the draw cord a bit. Have had skin cancer, so UPF protection is a super plus. Has a more shallow depth for small heads. only minus is no opening for a ponytail.
