PLEASE NOTE: The measurements on our size chart are very similar to most major clothing companies. However, we generally allow for a relaxed fit - geared for outdoor activity, travel or a casual outing. Pants, skirts, blouses and polo shirts have extra room for comfort and are not body hugging.
When fitting jackets, cover-ups or any outerwear, our fit model is wearing the appropriate under layers that we would expect you to be wearing. You do not have to "size up" - we have done that for you.
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR RIGHT SIZE
Never try to measure yourself. Seek the help of a companion and use a soft tape measure.
Height: Stand in stocking feet, with feet together, back to the wall. Measure from top of head to the floor.
Arm: Bend arm to 90 degrees. Place hand on hip. Start at center of back of neck. Measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the wrist. Number of inches equals your sleeve length.
Bust/Chest: With the arms relaxed down at sides, measure fullest part of bust/chest, keeping tape parallel to floor.
Hip: Stand with heels together, keeping tape straight and parallel to the floor. Measure around fullest part.
Neck: Measure around base of the neck (the lowest point of the neck). Number of inches equals the neck size.
Inseam: Take a pair of pants that fits you well. Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom hem. Number of inches equal inseam length.
Rise: Start the tape at the center back waist, run the tape between your legs, pulling comfortably at the crotch and up your natural waist. Total measurement is your rise.
Waist: Measure around your waist, against your skin (not over your shirt or pants) at the height you normally wear your pants.
Head: Measure around your head, from the center of your forehead, keeping tape straight and parallel to the floor. Measure around fullest part.

Nice fabric but the fit is strangeI love the color and fabric and desperately wanted this top to work. I was hoping that other reviewers who commented on the strange cut of the garment were wrong, but sadly, they were spot on. Because of the extended shoulder seam there is extra fabric that folds and hangs oddly from the shoulder. Maybe if you were larger busted it would work, but it just looked strange on me, so I’ve returned it.

great shirt- BUT...!I bought this last year and love it! The 3/4 sleeves, relaxed fit and soft fabric are so comfy. So when I saw the same shirt on sale in a different color, I did not hesitate. I am sorry to say the shirt I received today was not sewn correctly. It’s a red, white and blue stripe, and the bottom hem In the front is sewn red to red stripes together, creating a visual eyesore of a large red band right across my hip/thigh area (worst possible place to draw attention). The sleeves and back are sewn correctly with stripes matching. Only the front is sewn this way. This might be less noticeable in a different color, but it is awful in this multi color stripe. Very Disappointed at this lack of attention to detail.

Neck and sleeve length coverage lackingFor a company whose mission is sun protection, I'm surprised at all the low necklines and 3/4 length sleeves, year after year. I'm a long-time customer and appreciate new stylish designs but not for the lack of sun protection. Put thumbholes in this (and pretty much everything else!) and make neckline higher or easier to close and I'd buy every colour.

Comfortable and lightweight.I bought one of these last year. I like it so much that I bought another in another color combination recently. Both are lightweight and more comfortable than I had expected. In the past I have insisted on organic cotton clothing because it is comfortable and its production is far better for the environment as compared to synthetics. (In fact, I look for Fair Trade organic cotton out of concern for the environment and people who produce my clothing.) However, I am concerned about sun exposure because I read my bike often. Even though it is recreational riding, I am exposed to the sun for many hours. So, I am giving up my cotton for bike riding and beach time for a product that looks somewhat stylish, feels comfortable, and protects me. As for the bit of skin exposure with the V-neckliine, I'll deal with it by using lots of sunscreen or even a tee-shirt under the hoodie if the weather is cool.
