This is where it all started! We set out to develop a superior UPF 50+ swim fabric that didn’t feel heavy or rubbery like scuba rash guards. The result is a technically elegant, sun-safe swim fabric that is chlorine and saltwater resistant with a modest 4-way stretch.

Ultra sport hatI wear this hat anytime I step outside! It’s comfortable, flexible and easy to put the loop around your wrist when you don’t need to wear it while inside a store etc. I have it in white and navy.

Biondi CR ultra sport hat.I really wanted to like this hat. I purchased it for sun protection as recommended by my doctor to prevent discoloration to new skin following a severe steam burn to face and neck, requiring surgery and 18-24 months of careful sun protection. I planned to use the hat to work and play with kids in my yard, while leisure kayaking, and at outdoor Orlando theme parks. The design looks decent but is poorly executed for functionality. When you put it on at an angle where you can see out under the brim, there is a lot of extra fabric that bunches at the base of the hat in the back making the hat hotter than necessary to wear, especially if closing the front up and breathing inside it. The front closes with velcro which I knew before purchasing, but it snags the hat fabric really easily. The inner hat band is only a flimsy strip of stretch fabric with a narrow elastic adjustable band inside. I have a medium sized head for a woman. Even with the elastic snug, the hat has way too much movement that affects vision under the oversized brim. The hat provides nice sun coverage on the sides of the face (at eye height) with the fabric that wraps around the edges of the brim and across the face, but this affects vision as well, and cannot be secured or adjusted very well. The wire in the upper edge of the face covering only spans the center section like a face mask, but the face area is loose. So, no matter what I did to adjust, sunglasses or none, I could not see well with this hat on and closed across my face. Instead of this hat, I purchased (and liked) the Cyd Travel Beach Hat, a neck gaiter and attached it to my cotton face for the sun coverage I need that matches my activity level for outdoor work and play.

Maybe a winter hat?I work outside in the summer. I thought this hat looked perfect for all my sun protection needs. I got over heated each time I wore it): there is absolutely no airflow. Felt like I had fashioned a hat out of my grandmothers polyester pants.
