HOW TO MEASURE YOUR RIGHT SIZE
Use a soft tape measure.
- Height: Stand in stocking feet, with feet together, back to the wall. Measure from crown of head to the floor
- Arm: Bend arm to 90 degrees. Place hand on hip. Start at center of back of neck measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the wrist. Number on inches equals your sleeve length.
- Bust/Chest: With the arms relaxed down at sides, measure fullest part of bust/chest, keeping tape parallel to floor.
- Hip: Stand with heels together, keeping tape straight and parallel to the floor. Measure around fullest part.
- Neck: Measure around base of the neck (the lowest point of the neck). Number of inches equals the neck size.
- Inseam: Take a pair of pants that fits you well. Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the hem. Number of inches equals inseam length.
- Rise: Start the tape at the center back waist, run the tape between your legs, pulling comfortably at the crotch and up your natural waist. Total measurement is your rise.
- Waist: Measure around your waist, against your skin (not over your shirt or pants) at the height you normally wear your pants.
- Head: Measure around your head, from the center of your forehead, keeping tape straight and parallel to the floor. Measure around fullest part.

Now made with a shorter crown-no longer fits me
I’ve worn this exact hat in a kids XL for years. It has been my “go to” hat, especially for travel. And, it’s cute. I have a small adult head and most hats are too big on me. My old hat finally developed a small hole and I ordered a new one. I’m so disappointed! It sits up too high on my head and won’t work at all. The crown is at least 1/2” shorter than my old hat, so this one is too small. I wear a hat every single day due to skin cancer and I’m really going to miss this hat.

Crown not as deep as it used to be...
I purchased three of these hats for my boys a little under 5 years ago. They are amazing, still in good shape after years of being taken absolutely everywhere. Unfortunately, we lost one of them last summer though. I was happy to see this old standby was still available... until it arrived. It does not have quite as deep of a crown as the old ones and so it doesn't stay on. The crown on our old ones are a tad over 3-1/4" deep. The new one is about 2-7/8" deep. This change may sound minor, but makes the hat almost totally useless and certainly not worth the premium price. Very disappointed.

The thread on coolibar logo came off
Just the right size. However the thread on the coolibar logo came loose and it was quite obvious.

Shallow crown
Bought this for golf. Gives good coverage from the sun but won't stay on when there's slight breeze. The crown is too shallow. I recommend redesigning with deeper crown so children and adults with small heads can comfortably wear this hat.

It fits!
I bought this for an upcoming trip so haven't worn it outside yet, but as a smaller woman, I've had trouble finding hats that are small enough, and this one fits. Hope it will work on the trip.
