HOW TO MEASURE YOUR RIGHT SIZE
Use a soft tape measure.
- Height: Stand in stocking feet, with feet together, back to the wall. Measure from crown of head to the floor
- Arm: Bend arm to 90 degrees. Place hand on hip. Start at center of back of neck measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the wrist. Number on inches equals your sleeve length.
- Bust/Chest: With the arms relaxed down at sides, measure fullest part of bust/chest, keeping tape parallel to floor.
- Hip: Stand with heels together, keeping tape straight and parallel to the floor. Measure around fullest part.
- Neck: Measure around base of the neck (the lowest point of the neck). Number of inches equals the neck size.
- Inseam: Take a pair of pants that fits you well. Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the hem. Number of inches equals inseam length.
- Rise: Start the tape at the center back waist, run the tape between your legs, pulling comfortably at the crotch and up your natural waist. Total measurement is your rise.
- Waist: Measure around your waist, against your skin (not over your shirt or pants) at the height you normally wear your pants.
- Head: Measure around your head, from the center of your forehead, keeping tape straight and parallel to the floor. Measure around fullest part.

Best Sunhat Ever!
My little one (16 months) loves his sun hat. After endless searches online, I came across Coolibar and their sunhats were the only ones that provided full coverage and quality all in one - for the most part, other brands supply one and not the other. Just a little side note: always go up one size - the baby/toddler sunhats run a little small.

Very small.
I purchased this hat for my son who just turned 2 a couple days ago. It could not even go on his head, it literally sat atop it. He does not have an abnormally large head and fits most other hats within his size range. It is also very shallow/not deep in terms of the bucket portion of the hat. Unfortunately this is going back. I guess I will try the older kids sized one. Disappointed, I have loved all of my other Coolibar purchases.

Nice hat but runs small
Purchased this hat for my 3 year daughter. I was very impressed with how fast I received the hat. That is always a plus when I order something online. The hat is very well made and seems to be good quality. The only issue I have is the the size I purchased was a 4T but does not fit my daughter very well. I wish the hat were to be a little larger on the inside. Besides that it is an excellent hat. You may want to buy one size up.

Hat to shallow
Hat was too WAY too shallow. First hat I bought our 2 year old daughter where it was too shallow. We've purchased over 6 hats for her already.
Other then the fit, everything was great.

Poorly designed hat
I bought the 2-4 t size for my small 2 year old and the part that is supposed to for the head is so small and shallow that his head does fit in it and it doesn't stay on. I will return it.

Runs small!
I agree with the other reviews that the toddler hat runs small. My son has an average size 2 yr. old head and this hat just barely fit him before washing. I do like that it's wide enough to cover his head and has a chin strap and sweat band. I ordered the kids small size as well and that fits better, but definitely won't last more than a year or 2. The brims are also stiff, not floppy like some sun hats. We will be using the kids small size for now.

Terrible fitting hat
I can't believe this hat is even for sale - the fit is really, really bad. The 'bucket' is way too shallow causing it to precariously perch on my 20-month son's head. I have never seen a hat fit like this before...so weird. Although this hat is very cute looking, do not buy it. Mine is on its way back to Coolibar right now.

Size runs small
I got this hat in size 2-4T for my 27-month old son. His head is about 50th percentile. The brim is nice, but the part that fits over his head is very shallow. I don't think it'll even fit him through the summer. This is probably the appropriate size for a 1-yr old. Very frustrating.
